KNH Volunteer of the Year

Pam Luizzi

Pam Luizzi

Pam Luizzi began volunteering at KNH in 2018 in the Family Literacy Program. As a retired EAL teacher she was well suited to the role. Pam had previously worked in out of school programs supporting students with refugee backgrounds.

In 2019 Pam offered herself as a volunteer in the Form Filling Program. This program helps people with low levels of English and literacy to fill out government documentation and other forms.

Pam is friendly, reliable, caring and dedicated. That’s why she’s KNH Volunteer of the Year for 2019.

Congratulations to Neighbourhood Hero David Pontin, a volunteer in Kensington Neighbourhood House’s Family Literacy Program. David was runner up in the “Outstanding Volunteer” category in this years’ Multicultural Youth Education Awards. David has been volunteering in the program since its inception two years ago. The program itself was a finalist in the category “Outstanding Out-of-School-Hours Learning Support Program (community based)”. Congratulations to all involved.
